Mediawax
For Mediawax, a hosting provider and domain registrar, I rebuilt the entire platform in Laravel, including an extensive customer control panel for hosting, domains, VPS and SSL certificates.

Project details
Mediawax is a hosting provider and domain registrar for which I rebuilt the entire platform from the ground up, replacing the previous system. It consists of a public website with a domain checker, hosting and VPS packages and SSL certificates, plus an extensive customer control panel where users manage their email, databases, FTP, DNS, cron jobs and php version themselves, connected directly to the underlying DirectAdmin servers. Payments run through Mollie, with support for iDEAL, direct debit, a wallet system and monthly or quarterly billing. The platform also connects with Zendesk for the helpdesk, Google for customer reviews, and has its own affiliate program with commission tracking. Admins work through a separate admin panel, and the whole site is available in Dutch and English.
Result
- Replaced an outdated platform (front end, customer panel and admin panel) entirely with a new system on Laravel/Livewire, including a new Filament admin panel.
- Customers manage their hosting (email, databases, FTP, DNS, cron jobs, php version) themselves through the panel, connected directly to DirectAdmin.
- Payments (iDEAL, direct debit, wallet, monthly or quarterly billing) run entirely through Mollie.
Scope
- What I did
- Full rebuild of the platform: public site, customer panel and admin panel, replacing the existing, outdated system. New backend in Laravel/Livewire, new admin panel in Filament, plus all integrations (DirectAdmin, Mollie, Zendesk, Google reviews, affiliate program).
- What the client did
- Mediawax: the hosting infrastructure itself (the DirectAdmin servers), product decisions (packages, pricing), content and branding.
- Out of scope
- Managing the underlying server infrastructure itself.
What changed
- For customers: self-service technical management in a modern panel, instead of an outdated environment.
- For Mediawax itself: an up-to-date admin panel (Filament) to manage the platform, support centralized via Zendesk, with reviews and affiliate traffic handled automatically.
