Project details
As a freelancer hired by Qore Digital, I worked on this website promoting the city of Hoorn to visitors. At its core is an events calendar that visitors can filter by category, accessibility and date without the page reloading, built with Alpine.js on the front end and a custom REST API on the back end. Organizers can submit their own events through a multi-step form with a live preview of their submission. The site runs on Qore Digital's WordPress theme, styled with Tailwind CSS, and uses Advanced Custom Fields to manage content such as featured locations, including a Google Maps integration, with Fluent Forms handling the forms.
Result
- Events calendar that visitors filter by category, accessibility and date without the page reloading.
- Organizers submit their own events through a multi-step form with a live preview of their submission.
- Content management, including featured locations with a Google Maps integration, through reusable ACF blocks.
Scope
- What I did
- As a freelancer for Qore Digital: the events calendar (Alpine.js front end, custom REST API), the multi-step submission form with live preview, and the ACF content for locations.
- What the client did
- Qore Digital: the WordPress theme, client ownership and project direction.
What changed
- For visitors: filtering events quickly without waiting for the page to reload.
- For organizers: submitting their own events, without needing the site's editors.
